This beautiful looking horse, conformationally very close to perfection, was bred by the Lancer Stud and sourced by Millie Dumas. Jay is by the thoroughbred stallion Duke of Hearts who Jodie has used on a number of occasions now with her own breeding and crossed with a jumping dam going back to Canturo, the sire of the French phenomenon Epsilon.

He has three fantastic paces, an incredibly uphill balance combined with a light footed athletic jump and the most wonderful temperament. His first season under saddle with Catherine, he has shown all his class and talent, placed in almost every outing and taking the win in the BYEH qualifier at Gatcombe with a very impressive lead. This result was only backed up by his 3rd place finish at the Burghley finals, winning the highest mark for his gallop under the expert eye of Andrew Nicholson! It's hugely exciting that two of Jodie's most long standing friends Nicky Coates & Penny Cabourne have come on board as joint owners as he certainly looks to be an exciting horse for the future!
